I love eating fruits and veggies. While I understand that most people have to have them with something? I can just have that as such. Love em.
Just cooked up 3 heads of baby bok choy. It's quick, easy and delicious.
Here are the ingredients:
3/4 bunches of baby bok choi
1/2tsp toasted sesame oil
1/2tsp good quality soy sauce (organic mirin.. kikkoman is acceptable, and NOT la choy!)
Salt
White Pepper
Sri Racha hot sauce
4 cloves of garlic, sliced as thin as you can. Or garlic powder, both work out deliciously.
1.5-2Tbsp of oil. I use olive oil for everything, but you can use any oil really. Nothing too strong tasting.
1) Heat the oil in the pan. Get it nice and hot, but not smoking
2) White the oil is heating, break off the leaves off the main stem of the bok choi. Rinse them in cold water.
3) Chop the stem too, discarding only the very bottom. I prefer to leave the leaves whole.
4) Add the leaves and chopped stems to the hot oil, stirring constantly. Keep it over a medium heat.
5) Keep cooking for about 6-7 minutes, until green parts of the leaves are wilted and white part is getting softer. Don't overcook it, but get it so the white part starts to wilt ever so slightly.
6) Add garlic, cook for 1-1.5 minutes more (not too long)
7) Remove from the heat. Mix in all the rest of the ingredients, coat, and enjoy!
Absolutely delicious! Plus healthy as anything :)
Let me know what YOU like to do with baby bok choy!
